The purpose of this article is to show you how to properly do a squat. The audience of this article is someone who is interested in building leg strength by lifting weights and wants to properly perform a squat without hurting themselves and also get the best results from doing the exercise. The rhetorical appeal that is used the most in this article is logos because the article actually directs you on how to perform a squat and that is the essential purpose of logos, to instruct. The article also uses ethos because it is telling you information on why you should squat and what squats do for the body. The article utilizes a written, visual and a video mode, with a digital medium. The style and design add to the purpose of the article by first giving you a visual of the exercise so that the audience know exactly what they are about to learn, then it goes on to inform the reader about the purpose of the exercise and essentially gets into step by step instructions of what you should do. This video could be converted into a podcast or something of that nature. The person that is making the podcast could simply turn the article into a power point presentation and present it to the audience like that. Then at the end do something like put everything that was taught in the presentation together and perform the task him or herself.
