Which Was Better?

I read a book called Marked by PC Cast and Kristen Cast on the app Wattpad. I feel like this story could easily be turned into a movie because the story has an interesting plot and details that can already be pictured in the readers head. In order to remediate this story though, the script writer and composer definitely have to make the decision whether or not to randomly add a death to Zoey Redbird's (the main character) father since the authors did not talk about the father in the book. The composer also have to make decisions on how the characters dress, speak and present themselves. For instance with Zoey's mom's husband who is an overly religious man, they have to decide how they want him to dress, like whether or not he will be in the stereotypical look of a religious person or will they go outside of the box and dress him differently. The script writer also has to decide whether or not to give Zoey's mentor, Neferet off script scenes that show throughout the entire movie that she is jealous of Zoey and frightened by the fact that Zoey was going to take her goddess title of the House of Night or do the writer just let the jealousy come as a surprise to the movie watcher.
