One of my favorite songs is "Note" by Major Nine. The purpose of this song is to tell a story but also inform. He wrote the song for a girl who lives down the hall and slid a note under his door asking him to be a little quieter when hes making and editing his music because she be trying to study and all the noise that he makes be distracting her. In the letter she was not rude or anything she went on at the end to encourage him to do his best and have great success with his career. Besides her the audience is any of his fans. Major Nine uses pathos in the song because throughout the song he is expressing emotion about the situations going on in his life simply asking what is he suppose to do about it. He is telling stories of events that have occurred throughout his life like his mom having surgery and how he has to be successful in life in order to support his family. The mood is kind of sad and the lyrics match the mood all the way. None of the stories he's telling is stuff you would be happy about.
